This massive Bay Terminal project will modernize Chattogram Port with a climate-resilient breakwater, deeper channels, and new container terminals . It aims to accommodate Panamax vessels, reducing port turnaround time and cutting the country’s shipping costs by around US$1 M per day. Approximately 36 % of Bangladesh’s container volumes will go through this upgraded terminal, benefiting over one million people—including women in trade and transport sectors.
